Traveling Raconteur

Hola! Hope you're smiling :)

Welcome!

Hello! Welcome! Thanks for taking interest in me. Perhaps you will like something here that you see?

I am an art and architecture enthusiast, aspiring raconteur, book smeller and an occasional reader, budget traveler, ceramics dilettante, diffident writer, imaginary sailor, love-letter maven, modest history buff, postcard aficionado, struggling artist, vivid dreamer and much more. I live half my life in dreams and find reality a good mix of beauty and misery; I inhabit both worlds when awake and sleep is a totally different world. I believe art can change the world and cognition is the best antidote to depression. I swoon to western classical music and spend my weekend evenings talking, listening, crying, laughing, dreaming, wondering and indulging in therapeutic swearing over a margarita or two at hip bars.

I like to imagine the world is knit together with rainbow threads and my stories travel on butterfly wings. I could be married to my travel shoes yet my ultimate dream is a cottage in the Himalayas with a chocolate-brown donkey for a pet.

This space is about the places I go to, the people I meet, the stories life’s wonderful possibilities create and the magic I see all around me.

Fighting An Additction

Not One MoreSeptember 12th, 2014
Addiction is a curse one allows upon one's self until it ceases to seek permission. I do not like the idea of a mind controlled by substance. If I can refrain for 30 days, I'd be very impressed with myself.
